| Kent appears regionally throughout the Central Pennsylvania area as a pianist/singer performing a wide variety of musical styles. Artists performed include Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, the temptations, Wilson Picket, Billy Joel, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Van Morrison, Jimmy Buffet, Eric Clapton, Garth Brookes, Johnny Cash, and Toby Keith; just to name a few. His solo act can be anything from lite jazz for an intimate or elegant dinner/cocktail party, to rowdy sing-along bar music, to some high-powered dance music.In addition to his solo act, Kent also works as a free-lance musician and has performed with many name artists including the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Temptations, Roger Williams, Maureen McGovern, and Maynard Ferguson. He is employed as a Lecturer in Music at Penn State Altoona serving as director of the University Choir and University Jazz Ensemble and also is on staff with the renowned Penn State Blue Band at University Park. In addition, he serves as the Director of Music at the Llyswen United Methodist Church in Altoona. |
